Gee whiz. Can it really be any good?

Whether we work together in a 1-on-1 studio setting like Integral Method Fitness on Fourth Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn; in your own home or virtually it does not change the focus of what makes a session with me unique and informative. Working with awareness towards placement and alignment while building strength within the context of movement is powerful.

 You would be surprised how even the most experienced free weight trainer can make a small adjustment in their execution and find themselves working in a more effective way to train the muscles they should be without compromising placement. We all are subject to habits in any endeavor and perhaps you are doing the things in the gym or on your home equipment that feels good, looks good or is comfortable but you are not quite making the changes you would like to see. Not all change is about the aesthetic either. How’s your balance? How’s your flexibility? How is your recovery after training? Uh-huh. All strength is limited without flexibility.

Together we can develop a fitness design plan unique to your current strengths and challenges. This might involve developing movement vocabulary specifically for you. Communication is key. Perhaps you did not have a good night’s rest before our scheduled session. Just let me know and we will adjust so we can provide you with a productive and healing investment of your time and energy. Perhaps it would involve lighter weight loads, or no weight loads, more connective movement or Qigong between sets to help provide better blood flow to the tissues?

This is about creating a conducive environment so that you feel better after your circuit. That confidence helps to provide a platform for you to build on. This is about your empowerment.
